So, I'm sitting in the Orlando International Airport. There are worse things that I could be doing with my time - such as driving to the airport (which took forever this morning) or sitting in my car (without Internet access). I don't know how many of my readers (right now, all 2 of you) have ever been to MCO, but it has a lovely fountain right beside the Hyatt at the door to terminal B.
Since I've finished responding to and sending e-mail, and I have interest in actually working right now, I thought that I'd share a few great websites to visit while you're acting in your own personal version of Terminal:
My husband loves to track my flights so that he knows exactly when to be at the airport to pick me up. Had I used that this morning, I wouldn't have gotten here in a blind panic thinking that his plane already landed (I still have about a 45 minute wait).
You could also read a few travel blogs to get the skinny on smart fares, lost luggage, and stupid people. There are probably hundreds to choose from, but I'm a fan of the Travel Troubleshooter Elliot. He gives good advice to the travel-deficient.
You could also check out the live Disney cam at Swan and Dolphin hotel. Granted, you don't get to see any mice, but you have a nice view of the weather, which will be a good indicator of delays (of course, this only works in Orlando, but that's where I am, so - so there).
You could also visit the website of the FAA for an entertaining look at the latest TSA craziness. You can also look at sample test questions for becoming a Commercial Pilot. If you pass, I want free rides.
