Days can be so strange...
My sisters were supposed to arrive around 10:30 this morning via US Airways. Of course, it is no surprise that their flight from Philadelphia was canceled (no explanation - and why should they? It's just a product you've paid for, after all). So, they were instead flown to Connecticut, and then flown via Northwest to Minneapolis. They started out at 2:30 in the morning, and arrived in the cities at about 4:30 in the afternoon. Needless to say, they are both (and my niece) sleeping.
I missed my sisters very much - the banter and the laughter warms the cockles of my heart. Comfort foods have the same ability. For dinner, we had homemade chicken nuggets (this is not difficult and they taste about 89 times better than the store bought frozen plastic garbage. I also made homemade applesauce (also not difficult, thank you grandma). Finally, I fried up some Crookneck squash. Of course, I don't have pictures of any of these delicious delights (I still don't know where that darn camera is), but everyone was happy - even Addison, who proceeded to throw her chicken bits across the dining room in delight.
