When I can't think of anything to say...(thank you very much)

I would have to say this has been a long... and odd.. day.

I started out traveling to a campus early this morning. And then driving back to my office only a few hours later. I spent most of the day trying to play catch up on submitting my expense reports (thank goodness, because my credit card companies are beginning to love me) and finishing other projects that I have procrastinated on, and on,and on.

When I finally got home, the house was a total mess and I did nothing - I just crashed on the couch and almost fell asleep immediately, until 10pm, when I dragged my butt upstairs to finish grading (and I did, thank you very much).

The highlight of my day was just now, when I logged into those credit card accounts to order gift cards using my reward points. $50 from Home Depot and $25 from Target, thank you very much. Since I can't actually to shop with cash right now, I suppose the gift cards will have to do. Or I could just save them for gifts for people.

HA! Who I am kidding.

Another nice part about my day is that my internet, Dennis, gave me a really cool book called Smart Women Read between the Lines: A Reader's Journal. It includes bookplates and a place to keep an inventory of items read and favorite quotes, etc. It is just the kind of gift I love - clever with a teensy bit of retro girl-power funk. I have the same obsession for the Anne Taintor collection.

The rest of the night, I hope, will be short. I may try to add onto to the bits and pieces part of this blog - the sidebars and such. Or I might just crash out. Later taters.

Ah couch sitting, what a wonderful way to end a day sometimes. Me, I need to get my butt off the couch and unpack more stuff! :-)
