Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, I'm stuffed. A morning of work did finally pay off. I will admit that I was hesitant to cook this week, because there are only two of us (again) this year and it seemed like a really big fuss. However, the hubby promised he'd put the food away and clean up the kitchen (read: not JUST do the dishes), so I said ok.

I was so impressed with the results that I had him take a picture. In all:

10 lb. turkey, rubbed with butter and salt and pepper and then layered with some thickly-sliced bacon. A few cloves of garlic and some bay leaves were placed in the cavity.
Creamed corn (frozen corn kernels, corn starch, onions cooked in olive oil, sugar, and cream)
Sweet potato balls, courtesy of Paula Deen, minus the coconut
Garlic mashed potatoes
Pillsbury rolls, from freezer to oven
Homemade stuffing (old Italian bread, celery, onions, sausage, butter, broth, salt & pepper
Cranberry sauce (the canned kind, not pictured since James won't actually tough it)
Apple butter pumpkin pie (also not pictured because it is still in the oven)

If you see this and you are hungry, give me a holler - we have lots left over.
Happy Thanksgiving.
